Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2012 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings, which included the work White Lotus by Pan Gongshou. The price achieved of USD 9,375.00 (€ 7,292.31) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pan Gongshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2012 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit White Lotus von Pan Gongshou zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 7.292,31) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pan Gongshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.583,23).
