Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lingzhi, Bamboo, And Rock by Pan Gongshou was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2012. The price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 14,061.80) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 15,000.00 – 25,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pan Gongshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23).

Die Arbeit Lingzhi, Bamboo, And Rock von Pan Gongshou wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 18.750,00 (€ 14.061,80) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 15.000,00 – 25.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pan Gongshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.583,23).
