Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Pan Gongshou achieved an unexpectedly high price at China Guardian in Hong Kong in November 2016. In the Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy auction, the work Wangchuan Villa After Wen Zhengming And Dong Qichang sold for HKD 413,000.00 (€ 50,326.81) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 150,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pan Gongshou - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes , which sold at auction in September 2015 for USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Pan Gongshou erzielte im November 2016 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Classical Chinese Painting and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Wangchuan Villa After Wen Zhengming And Dong Qichang für HKD 413.000,00 (€ 50.326,81) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 150.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pan Gongshou mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscapes beobachtet, die im September 2015 für USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.583,23) versteigert wurde.
