Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
The work Wangchuan Villa after Wen Zhengming and Dong Qichang by Pan Gongshou was worth HKD 214,200.00 (€ 25,029.23) to a buyer in June this year. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. Admittedly, works by Pan Gongshou have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscapes in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23).

Die Arbeit Wangchuan Villa after Wen Zhengming and Dong Qichang von Pan Gongshou war einem Käufer im Juni diesen Jahres HKD 214.200,00 (€ 25.029,23) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Pan Gongshou auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscapes im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.583,23).
