In November 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Grapes and Pomegranate by Pan Gongshou. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 47,500.00 (€ 4,693.16), 58% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Pan Gongshou achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Landscapes in September 2015 with an auction result of USD 162,500.00 (€ 145,583.23).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 58 % übertroffen
Im November 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Grapes and Pomegranate von Pan Gongshou zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 4.693,16) und damit 58% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Pan Gongshou erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Landscapes im September 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 162.500,00 (€ 145.583,23).
