Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2019 Sothebys in Mumbai held the auction Boundless: India, which included the work A Gulmohar Tree by Pakhal Tirumal Reddy. It changed hands for a price of INR 687,500.00 (€ 8,672.52) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of INR 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pakhal Tirumal Reddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Concept Of Sun, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,934.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2019 führte Sothebys in Mumbai die Auktion Boundless: India durch, in der auch die Arbeit A Gulmohar Tree von Pakhal Tirumal Reddy zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von INR 687.500,00 (€ 8.672,52) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von INR 500.000,00 – 700.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pakhal Tirumal Reddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Concept Of Sun beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.934,26) versteigert wurde.
