Auction result misses estimated price range
In September 2012 a collector was able to acquire this work without title by Pakhal Tirumal Reddy for USD 11,875.00 (€ 9,236.93). This price was achieved in the auction Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pakhal Tirumal Reddy - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Concept Of Sun, which sold at auction in March 2020 for USD 27,500.00 (€ 24,934.26).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im September 2012 konnte ein Sammler diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Pakhal Tirumal Reddy für USD 11.875,00 (€ 9.236,93) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Modern & Contemporary South Asian Art bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pakhal Tirumal Reddy mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Concept Of Sun beobachtet, die im März 2020 für USD 27.500,00 (€ 24.934,26) versteigert wurde.
