Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Study of an orange branch by P. C. Skovgaard was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in April this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 2,300.00 (€ 308.54). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by P. C. Skovgaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest scenery with a woman standing between the trees in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 42,000.00 (€ 36,706.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Study of an orange branch von P. C. Skovgaard im April diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 2.300,00 (€ 308,54) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von P. C. Skovgaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Forest scenery with a woman standing between the trees im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 42.000,00 (€ 36.706,87).
