Auction result misses estimated price range
In December this year a collector was able to acquire the work A pair of portraits of castle steward (slotsforvalter) Geert Sørensen Güllich (1793–1872) and his wife Margrethe, née Flindt (1804–1881) by P. C. Skovgaard for DKK 7,000.00 (€ 939.07). This price was achieved in the auction Paintings, furniture and varia at Bruun Rasmussen and was even below the estimate range of DKK 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by P. C. Skovgaard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Forest scenery with a woman standing between the trees in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 42,000.00 (€ 36,706.87).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit A pair of portraits of castle steward (slotsforvalter) Geert Sørensen Güllich (1793–1872) and his wife Margrethe, née Flindt (1804–1881) von P. C. Skovgaard für DKK 7.000,00 (€ 939,07) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Paintings, furniture and varia bei Bruun Rasmussen erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von DKK 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von P. C. Skovgaard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Forest scenery with a woman standing between the trees im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 42.000,00 (€ 36.706,87).
