Auction result well in line with expectations
In December 2011 Christies in Zurich held the auction Swiss Art, which included the work Le ballon du dimanche, 1940 by Otto Tschumi. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CHF 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of CHF 10,800.00 (€ 8,880.26) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Otto Tschumi have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2008 the work Paysage, 1935 Landscape, 1935 was auctioned for CHF 23,750.00 (€ 15,379.31).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember 2011 führte Christies in Zürich die Auktion Swiss Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Le ballon du dimanche, 1940 von Otto Tschumi zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CHF 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CHF 10.800,00 (€ 8.880,26) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Otto Tschumi konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2008 die Arbeit Paysage, 1935 Landscape, 1935 für CHF 23.750,00 (€ 15.379,31) versteigert.
