Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Silberarsch by Otto Muehl was sold in the Post-War & Contemporary Art auction at Christies in London in April 2011. The price achieved of GBP 10,000.00 (€ 11,261.72) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Otto Muehl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Interieur I (Interior I), which sold at auction in November 2019 for EUR 43,750.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Silberarsch von Otto Muehl wurde im April 2011 in der Auktion Post-War & Contemporary Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 10.000,00 (€ 11.261,72) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Otto Muehl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Interieur I (Interior I) beobachtet, die im November 2019 für EUR 43.750,00 versteigert wurde.
