This artwork by Otto Gustaf Carlsund achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in May 2021. In the Modern Art + Design auction, the work Sketch for a mural painting for a dining room sold for SEK 1,800,000.00 (€ 177,726.75) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 1,000,000.00. Admittedly, works by Otto Gustaf Carlsund have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work "Brun maskinist" (L'Operateur brun) in December 2016 with an auction result of SEK 7,500,000.00 (€ 782,553.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 80 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Otto Gustaf Carlsund erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art + Design wurde die Arbeit Sketch for a mural painting for a dining room für SEK 1.800.000,00 (€ 177.726,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 1.000.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otto Gustaf Carlsund auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit "Brun maskinist" (L'Operateur brun) im Dezember 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von SEK 7.500.000,00 (€ 782.553,07).
