This artwork by Otto Gustaf Carlsund achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bukowski in Stockholm in November 2021. In the Modern Art + Design auction, the work "Lokomobilen (La machine à vapeur)" sold for SEK 7,500,000.00 (€ 731,593.87) - well above the upper estimate of SEK 4,000,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Otto Gustaf Carlsund; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot "Brun maskinist" (L'Operateur brun) sold at auction in December 2016 with the realized price of SEK 7,500,000.00 (€ 782,553.07).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 88 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Otto Gustaf Carlsund erzielte im November 2021 bei Bukowski in Stockholm einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Modern Art + Design wurde die Arbeit "Lokomobilen (La machine à vapeur)" für SEK 7.500.000,00 (€ 731.593,87) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von SEK 4.000.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Otto Gustaf Carlsund; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit "Brun maskinist" (L'Operateur brun) im Dezember 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von SEK 7.500.000,00 (€ 782.553,07).
