Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Andy Warhol. by Ottmar Hörl was auctioned at VAN HAM in October this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of EUR 500.00 – 700.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for EUR 396.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ottmar Hörl - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Broom Piece (Blue 5027-35), which sold at auction in May 2021 for EUR 875.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Andy Warhol. von Ottmar Hörl im Oktober diesen Jahres bei VAN HAM versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 500,00 – 700,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für EUR 396,00 den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Ottmar Hörl mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Broom Piece (Blue 5027-35) beobachtet, die im Mai 2021 für EUR 875,00 versteigert wurde.
