Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April last year Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Curated, which included the work Andreas by Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 40,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 40,320.00 (€ 48,080.17). Admittedly, works by Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shade of Black in July 2020 with an auction result of USD 250,000.00 (€ 212,332.26).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April letzten Jahres führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Curated durch, in der auch die Arbeit Andreas von Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von GBP 40.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für GBP 40.320,00 (€ 48.080,17) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Otis Kwame Kye Quaicoe auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shade of Black im Juli 2020 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 250.000,00 (€ 212.332,26).
