Artwork auctioned at four times the upper estimate price
When the work Maison Dans Les Bois by Otakar Kubin was auctioned at Sothebys in Paris in July 2015, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at - in retrospect quite modest - EUR 4,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than four times as high at EUR 16,250.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Otakar Kubin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work La Récolte Des Pommes De Terre - Circa 1909 - 1910 in March 2018 with an auction result of EUR 244,600.00.
Kunstwerk zum Vierfachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Maison Dans Les Bois von Otakar Kubin im Juli 2015 bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – EUR 4.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit EUR 16.250,00 mehr als viermal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Otakar Kubin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit La Récolte Des Pommes De Terre - Circa 1909 - 1910 im März 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 244.600,00.
