This work without title by Oswaldo Guayasamin was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in November 2017. The result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 33,619.10) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Admittedly, works by Oswaldo Guayasamin have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Quito en rojo in May 2011 with an auction result of USD 314,500.00 (€ 218,767.39).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Oswaldo Guayasamin kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 33.619,10) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oswaldo Guayasamin auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Quito en rojo im Mai 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 314.500,00 (€ 218.767,39).
