Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape from the Faroe Islands by Øssur Mohr was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in May this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of DKK 3,000.00 – 4,000.00, the actual price achieved of DKK 3,200.00 (€ 429.51) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Øssur Mohr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Morgen i Marts, Færøerne”, 2009 in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 4,000.00 (€ 3,495.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape from the Faroe Islands von Øssur Mohr kam im Mai diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 3.000,00 – 4.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von DKK 3.200,00 (€ 429,51) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Øssur Mohr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Morgen i Marts, Færøerne”, 2009 im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 4.000,00 (€ 3.495,89).
