Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Coastal scenery from Elduvik, the Faroe Islands by Øssur Mohr was auctioned at Bruun Rasmussen in June this year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of DKK 4,000.00 – 5,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for DKK 3,800.00 (€ 510.15). Admittedly, works by Øssur Mohr have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work “Morgen i Marts, Færøerne”, 2009 in January 2024 with an auction result of DKK 4,000.00 (€ 3,495.89).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Coastal scenery from Elduvik, the Faroe Islands von Øssur Mohr im Juni diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von DKK 4.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für DKK 3.800,00 (€ 510,15) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Øssur Mohr auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit “Morgen i Marts, Færøerne”, 2009 im Januar 2024 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 4.000,00 (€ 3.495,89).
