Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait Of The Artist’S Wife by Iosif Braz was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2012. The price achieved of GBP 16,250.00 (€ 20,018.35) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Iosif Braz - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with apples on a partially draped carpet, which sold at auction in November 2005 for GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,362.65).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 16.250,00 (€ 20.018,35) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 12.000,00 – 18.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Iosif Braz mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life with apples on a partially draped carpet beobachtet, die im November 2005 für GBP 33.600,00 (€ 49.362,65) versteigert wurde.
