In November 2007 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Art and Paintings, which included the work Monastery Of The Transfiguration, Novgorod by Iosif Braz. The result of GBP 3,000.00 (€ 4,200.78) was exactly at the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Iosif Braz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Still life with apples on a partially draped carpet in November 2005 with an auction result of GBP 33,600.00 (€ 49,362.65).
Zuschlag beim unteren Schätzpreis
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Art and Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Monastery Of The Transfiguration, Novgorod von Iosif Braz zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 3.000,00 (€ 4.200,78) entsprach exakt dem unteren Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Iosif Braz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Still life with apples on a partially draped carpet im November 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 33.600,00 (€ 49.362,65).
