In March 2019 Artcurial in Paris held the auction 20th Century Art 1950 to present, which included the work Sans Titre - 1955 by Oscar Gauthier. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 19,500.00 30% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oscar Gauthier - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tourments d'une fleur, which sold at auction in June last year for EUR 75,975.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 30 % übertroffen
Im März 2019 führte Artcurial in Paris die Auktion 20th Century Art 1950 to present durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1955 von Oscar Gauthier zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 19.500,00 und damit 30% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Oscar Gauthier mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tourments d'une fleur beobachtet, die im Juni letzten Jahres für EUR 75.975,00 versteigert wurde.
