Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
The work Le 14 juillet by Oscar Gauthier was worth EUR 6,560.00 to a buyer in April this year. This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art at Artcurial in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 1,800.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Gauthier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tourments d'une fleur in June last year with an auction result of EUR 75,975.00.

Die Arbeit Le 14 juillet von Oscar Gauthier war einem Käufer im April diesen Jahres EUR 6.560,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Artcurial in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 1.800,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Gauthier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tourments d'une fleur im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.975,00.
