The »bidding war« ended at EUR 2,080.00 39% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Oscar Gauthier achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Tourments d'une fleur in June last year with an auction result of EUR 75,975.00.

Die Arbeit Sans Titre - 1949 von Oscar Gauthier wurde im März 2019 in der Auktion 20th Century Art 1950 to present bei Artcurial in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 2.080,00 und damit 39% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Oscar Gauthier erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Tourments d'une fleur im Juni letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 75.975,00.
