Auction result well in line with expectations
The work On Campo Road (San Diego) by Orrin Augustine White was auctioned at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 2,048.00 (€ 1,877.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Orrin Augustine White achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Autumn Sycamores in October 2007 with an auction result of USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit On Campo Road (San Diego) von Orrin Augustine White kam im November diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Edinburgh zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 2.048,00 (€ 1.877,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Orrin Augustine White erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Autumn Sycamores im Oktober 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68).
