Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Orrin Augustine White achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Los Angeles in April last year. In the California Art auction, the work Arroyo Seco, Pasadena Area sold for USD 12,112.50 (€ 11,495.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Orrin Augustine White - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Sycamores, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Orrin Augustine White erzielte im April letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Los Angeles einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion California Art wurde die Arbeit Arroyo Seco, Pasadena Area für USD 12.112,50 (€ 11.495,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Orrin Augustine White mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Sycamores beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68) versteigert wurde.
