Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Green Fields and Sycamores by Orrin Augustine White was sold in the California Art auction at Bonhams in Edinburgh in November this year. It achieved a price of USD 7,040.00 (€ 6,453.98), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Orrin Augustine White - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Autumn Sycamores, which sold at auction in October 2007 for USD 37,000.00 (€ 25,573.68).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Green Fields and Sycamores von Orrin Augustine White wurde im November diesen Jahres in der Auktion California Art bei Bonhams in Edinburgh versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 7.040,00 (€ 6.453,98) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Für andere Arbeiten von Orrin Augustine White mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Autumn Sycamores beobachtet, die im Oktober 2007 für USD 37.000,00 (€ 25.573,68) versteigert wurde.
