The work Sans Titre by Mubin Orhon was sold in the Art Contemporain auction at Sothebys in Paris in December 2015. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 42,500.00 42% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Mubin Orhon have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Composition Abstraite, 1963 in June 2010 with an auction result of EUR 372,298.00.
Oberer Schätzpreis um 42 % übertroffen
Die Arbeit Sans Titre von Mubin Orhon wurde im Dezember 2015 in der Auktion Art Contemporain bei Sothebys in Paris versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 42.500,00 und damit 42% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Mubin Orhon auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Composition Abstraite, 1963 im Juni 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 372.298,00.
