Auction result well in line with expectations
The work North Of Ubud, Bali by Ong Kim Seng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016. The price achieved of HKD 237,500.00 (€ 27,948.82) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Ong Kim Seng - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Nepal , which sold at auction in April 2017 for HKD 725,000.00 (€ 85,575.95).

Die Arbeit North Of Ubud, Bali von Ong Kim Seng kam im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 237.500,00 (€ 27.948,82) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Ong Kim Seng mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Nepal beobachtet, die im April 2017 für HKD 725.000,00 (€ 85.575,95) versteigert wurde.
