Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Nepal by Ong Kim Seng was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2018. The price achieved of HKD 52,500.00 (€ 5,539.59) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 45,000.00 – 65,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ong Kim Seng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nepal in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 85,575.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Nepal von Ong Kim Seng kam im April 2018 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 52.500,00 (€ 5.539,59) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 45.000,00 – 65.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ong Kim Seng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nepal im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 85.575,95).
