Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ong Kim Seng could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu auction, the work Bedulgal, Bali changed hands for HKD 22,680.00 (€ 2,568.98) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ong Kim Seng achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Nepal in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 85,575.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Ong Kim Seng konnte im Dezember 2021 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern Art Online: From Le Pho to Sanyu wechselte die Arbeit Bedulgal, Bali für HKD 22.680,00 (€ 2.568,98) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Ong Kim Seng erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Nepal im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 85.575,95).
