Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bali Scene by Ong Kim Seng was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. It changed hands for a price of HKD 87,500.00 (€ 8,677.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 70,000.00 – 90,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ong Kim Seng have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Nepal in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 725,000.00 (€ 85,575.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bali Scene von Ong Kim Seng kam im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 87.500,00 (€ 8.677,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 70.000,00 – 90.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ong Kim Seng auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Nepal im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 725.000,00 (€ 85.575,95).
