Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work In the Library by Olle Borg was auctioned at Phillips in London in December 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 500.00 (€ 616.64). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Olle Borg - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work "Untitled", which sold at auction in November 2021 for SEK 22,000.00 (€ 2,146.01).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit In the Library von Olle Borg im Dezember 2012 bei Phillips in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 500,00 (€ 616,64) den Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Olle Borg mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit "Untitled" beobachtet, die im November 2021 für SEK 22.000,00 (€ 2.146,01) versteigert wurde.
