Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Olga Albizu was sold in the Latin American Art auction at Christies in New York in May 2016. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,187.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Olga Albizu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in September last year with an auction result of USD 151,200.00 (€ 154,553.82).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Olga Albizu wurde im Mai 2016 in der Auktion Latin American Art bei Christies in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 30.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.187,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Olga Albizu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im September letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 151.200,00 (€ 154.553,82).
