A top price for Olaf Holzapfel - as previously expected
In October 2009 Phillips in London held the auction Contemporary Art Day, which included the work Hot Spot by Olaf Holzapfel. The price achieved of GBP 8,250.00 (€ 9,213.94) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Hot Spot is the most expensive artwork by Olaf Holzapfel that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Im Oktober 2009 führte Phillips in London die Auktion Contemporary Art Day durch, in der auch die Arbeit Hot Spot von Olaf Holzapfel zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 8.250,00 (€ 9.213,94) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Hot Spot das teuerste Kunstwerk von Olaf Holzapfel, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
