Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fatty on Elephant by Olaf Breuning was auctioned at Phillips in New York in April 2009. The price achieved of USD 1,063.00 (€ 802.63) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Olaf Breuning achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Only One, 2001 in December 2012 with an auction result of EUR 12,227.00.

Die Arbeit Fatty on Elephant von Olaf Breuning kam im April 2009 bei Phillips in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 1.063,00 (€ 802,63) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Olaf Breuning erzielen.
