Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Vagabond by Oky Rey Montha was sold in the 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale auction at Phillips in Hong Kong in March this year. It changed hands for a price of HKD 76,200.00 (€ 8,922.24) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oky Rey Montha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Journey To The Earth, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,226.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Vagabond von Oky Rey Montha wurde im März diesen Jahres in der Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art Day Sale bei Phillips in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 76.200,00 (€ 8.922,24) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Oky Rey Montha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Journey To The Earth beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.226,76) versteigert wurde.
