Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Last Update by Oky Rey Montha was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2017. The price achieved of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,606.70) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oky Rey Montha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Journey To The Earth, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,226.76).

Die Arbeit Last Update von Oky Rey Montha kam im April 2017 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.606,70) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Oky Rey Montha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Journey To The Earth beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.226,76) versteigert wurde.
