Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2015 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale), which included the work Possibly Maybe by Oky Rey Montha. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 45,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,801.46). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Oky Rey Montha - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Journey To The Earth, which sold at auction in May 2016 for HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,226.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im November 2015 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Possibly Maybe von Oky Rey Montha zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 45.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.801,46) einen neuen Besitzer. Für andere Arbeiten von Oky Rey Montha mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit A Journey To The Earth beobachtet, die im Mai 2016 für HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.226,76) versteigert wurde.
