Auction result misses estimated price range
In May 2014 a collector was able to acquire the work Osmosis by Oky Rey Montha for HKD 37,500.00 (€ 3,546.55). This price was achieved in the auction Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Oky Rey Montha have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work A Journey To The Earth in May 2016 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 20,226.76).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Mai 2014 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Osmosis von Oky Rey Montha für HKD 37.500,00 (€ 3.546,55) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Oky Rey Montha auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit A Journey To The Earth im Mai 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 20.226,76).
