Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Ohara Koson could be acquired at Bonhams in New York in July last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Iron and InkPrints and Paintings, featuring Tetsubin from the Crawford Collection auction, the work A Group of Four Woodblock Prints changed hands for USD 828.75 (€ 812.34) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Ohara Koson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Hanging scroll, ink and colour on silk, of monkeys in a maple tree over a waterfall, signed Koson and sealed Koson in May 2013 with an auction result of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 13,153.01).
Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Hanging scroll, ink and colour on silk, of monkeys in a maple tree over a waterfall, signed Koson and sealed Koson im Mai 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 11.250,00 (€ 13.153,01).
