Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In November 2002 Christies in London held the auction British and Continental Pictures, which included the work A shepherd with his flock by a pond by Octavius Thomas Clark. Here, the upper estimate of GBP 800.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for GBP 822.50 (€ 1,287.99). Other works by Octavius Thomas Clark have achieved even higher prices, we observed the highest auction result so far of GBP 1,527.50 (€ 2,496.64) in November 2000 for the work Figures before a cottage in a wooded river landscape.
