Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hot Shot Eastbound at the Iaeger Drive-In, West Virginia, 1956 by Ogle Winston Link was auctioned at Christies in October 2021. The price achieved of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,442.74) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Ogle Winston Link have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Selected images, 1955-1958 in April 2011 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 33,735.92).

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.442,74) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Ogle Winston Link auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Selected images, 1955-1958 im April 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 33.735,92).
