Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Shaman Changes Into Thunder Bird by Norval Morrisseau was sold in the Important Canadian Art auction at Sothebys in Toronto in May 2011. Here, the upper estimate of CAD 10,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for CAD 11,400.00 (€ 8,185.23). Admittedly, works by Norval Morrisseau have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shaman And Turtle in November 2011 with an auction result of CAD 71,500.00 (€ 52,106.30).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Shaman Changes Into Thunder Bird von Norval Morrisseau wurde im Mai 2011 in der Auktion Important Canadian Art bei Sothebys in Toronto versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von CAD 10.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für CAD 11.400,00 (€ 8.185,23) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norval Morrisseau auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shaman And Turtle im November 2011 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von CAD 71.500,00 (€ 52.106,30).
