In May 2014 Christies in London held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Thelwell on Holiday - 'Always arrange your luggage so that you can easily get at the things you need whilst travelling...' by Norman Thelwell. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 1,187.50 (€ 1,459.48), 70% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Norman Thelwell - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 'How many trading stamps did they give you with him?', which sold at auction in December 2010 for GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,349.99).

Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in London die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Thelwell on Holiday - 'Always arrange your luggage so that you can easily get at the things you need whilst travelling...' von Norman Thelwell zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 1.187,50 (€ 1.459,48) und damit 70% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Norman Thelwell mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 'How many trading stamps did they give you with him?' beobachtet, die im Dezember 2010 für GBP 3.750,00 (€ 4.349,99) versteigert wurde.
