Auction result misses estimated price range
In August 2015 a collector was able to acquire the work I wish they would get on with nationalising land; Who put my stamp collection on the convection heater?; and They're only germs, but he grew them himself by Norman Thelwell for GBP 625.00 (€ 857.77). This price was achieved in the auction Christie's Interiors - Including 20th/21st Century Pictures at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Norman Thelwell have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work 'How many trading stamps did they give you with him?' in December 2010 with an auction result of GBP 3,750.00 (€ 4,349.99).
