Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Anne Gunning Outside City Palace, Jaipur, India, Vogue, 1956 by Norman Parkinson was auctioned at Sothebys in London in September 2017. The price achieved of GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,672.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Norman Parkinson have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Jerry Hall, Russia, Two Studies, 1975 in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.

Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.672,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Norman Parkinson auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Jerry Hall, Russia, Two Studies, 1975 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
