Auction result well in line with expectations
In December this year Bonhams in New York held the auction The Gift of Photographs, which included the work Jerry Hall, Jamaica by Norman Parkinson. The price achieved of USD 2,304.00 (€ 2,082.81) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Norman Parkinson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Jerry Hall, Russia, Two Studies, 1975 in June 2019 with an auction result of EUR 27,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Dezember diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in New York die Auktion The Gift of Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Jerry Hall, Jamaica von Norman Parkinson zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 2.304,00 (€ 2.082,81) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Norman Parkinson erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Jerry Hall, Russia, Two Studies, 1975 im Juni 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 27.500,00.
