Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2012 Christies in Dubai held the auction Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part I, which included the work Walegh by Nja Mahdaoui. The price achieved of USD 74,500.00 (€ 56,315.67) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nja Mahdaoui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ikhtilej in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 341,000.00 (€ 272,146.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2012 führte Christies in Dubai die Auktion Modern and Contemporary Arab, Iranian and Turkish Art Part I durch, in der auch die Arbeit Walegh von Nja Mahdaoui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 74.500,00 (€ 56.315,67) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nja Mahdaoui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ikhtilej im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 341.000,00 (€ 272.146,85).
