Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2011 Sothebys in London held the auction Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian, which included the work Walegh (Graphemes On Canvas) by Nja Mahdaoui. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 36,165.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. Admittedly, works by Nja Mahdaoui have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ikhtilej in October 2014 with an auction result of USD 341,000.00 (€ 272,146.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2011 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Contemporary Art / Arab & Iranian durch, in der auch die Arbeit Walegh (Graphemes On Canvas) von Nja Mahdaoui zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 31.250,00 (€ 36.165,93) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 25.000,00 – 35.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Nja Mahdaoui auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ikhtilej im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 341.000,00 (€ 272.146,85).
